Mates of State

So this last weekend started with a kick in the mouth with the kicker yet to remove said foot. With foot in mouth I proceeded southwards to the hive of scum and villainy that I call my home ....Vegas. Once there my compatriots and I gorged ourselves on sushi and sake. The next day with equally bloated bellies we split up myself and Dom heading to the oven that is Red Rock Canyon in August. Once there we made a vain attempt to climb, sweating out sushi and sake we managed 2 short pitches before retreating into the shade for the rest of the day. In the evening we saw the new Tarantino flick "Inglorious Bastards". Violent and funny with a few personal favorite characters it was a entertaining film. Met up with a friend at Charlie's and then took a nap of the most glorious kind. Waking at ten am the next day with the first good nights sleep in days under my belt myself and Dom headed out to the canyon for one more attempt. Before we left our other compatriot Nate stumbled through the door spent from a night wandering the Vegas strip. The gang reunited we climbed for several hours in the shade. After the day on the wall was done we did a little big city shopping and I am happy to say I have enough nan to last me for a month. Then it was time to return to the north lands. My mates and I drove all over the state.
Mates of State "Running Out"
You have the upper hand to open up the door
Running out, running out
Running out shouldn't give youth back
I have a hardened chain connected to my arms
Running out, running out should pull apart

Let's trade this tired home for all it's worth in paper
Running out, running out
Running out you react
Tired of singing
You're tied up never tired of singing
Tired of singing

Revolutionary minds never know to draw the line
Running out, running out
Running out like a fire so sweet
Tired of singing
You're tied up never tired of singing
Tired of singing
This will bring you closer

You want it, you want it
Imitating Bransby imitating them
This will bring out closer
Never have to say it
Tired of singing
Tired of singing
You're tied up never tired of singing
Tired of singing

Ely Week 1

So I just finished my first week of work and living in Ely. The world here is slightly different from the one in Elko. For one the restaurant selection is appalling there is also a very distinct lack in good drink. Otherwise the climbing is chossy and difficult to access. There is easily accessed mountain biking. The work is entirely office based, so overall kind of a boring place where people drink to much crappy beer. So yep looking forward to the end of this year and the beginning of school.
